Hi! I’m Kevin. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

Like many kids, I grew up wanting to be a knight. I had an appropriately sized arsenal of stick swords to vanquish my foes, a fascination with anything set in Middle-earth or the Forgotten Realms, and a Game Boy never too far from reach. While fantasy has always been my go-to genre, the influence of Star Wars and Metal Walker on my imagination can’t be ignored.

As I grew older, I discovered Northern Ontario. It was love at first sight.

I began writing The Book of Aeyir around the same time I started working with Ontario Parks. I wanted to create a setting that felt different from traditional fantasy landscapes — one inspired by canoe routes, small lakes, and the rugged beauty of the Canadian wilderness — while also exploring themes and struggles that feel relevant to people today.

I hope you enjoy reading The Book of Aeyir as much as I enjoyed writing it.
